Thanks to our great photoclub I had the opportunity to test Canon 5D during this weekend. One thing is clear, this camera is made for photographing! I do not know exacly why I got this impression, but all just seems to work. The main reason why I wanted to test this camera was to combine it with my 17-40L f4 lens. Currently I'm lacking of decent ultra wide angle lens, but with full frame my 17mm would be enough. This lens of course needs to be stepped down to f8 or more, but it doesn't make any difference in landscape photography. After testing this combination for a while, it seems to work! I was testing 5D in Ruissalo Turku with my 17-40L lens. The idea in this picture was to capture those small beacons with lights on and in the same time have the incoming boat in the picture. I hassled the timings a bit (not familiar with the camera, excuses, excuses...), but this one was something what I had in mind. Another picture from the same place just few moments later.
