It was a total surprise at least to me that we got this much snow in November already and it didn't event melt down immediately (its still there!). I have been waiting for the snow for some snow photos so I had to use this opportinity. It was almost dark when I finally was shooting and I didn't except basically anything from that trip. The photos turn out to be nothing that I thought they'd be, but I liked them. Here is one classic snowy tree shot:

Lately I've not been photographing practically at all, but last week we went to nearby sea bay Vuohensaari to take some late fall pictures. It has been raining every other day at least but that evening the weather was good. Still I wasn't inspired at all. No colors, just bronwish tones everywhere. I didn't even look my pictures until now. I was surprised to see that there were some decent photos after all.

First photos on that trip I took from a small barn in the water that is made for observing birds in the water. The sun was already very low so the lightning in the foreground hazes and background beach was warm:

There were lots of birds flying (most likely out of Finland and fast!) overby. I switched to tele lens and took some flying pictures. This one I liked because of the pattern of different positions of the birds. I overprocessed it on purpose and got what I wanted.

This is another flyby photo of two ducks. Sun was already setting so the sky had nice colors.

Practically the only moment when I was inspirated about something on that trip was when I saw these strange loops in the electric wires. I took few abstract photos of the loops with sunset colors on the background. Then when I was editing this one, I tried some wierd colors and I liked them! Of course the real colors where nothing like this.

I have not been photographing very actively recently. I have some ideas about "the great fall photograph" but practical deeds are missing totally. And like all Canon photographers, I'm also waiting for the new Canon 5D Mark II...

I'm still developing pictures that shot during the summer. This time I found a picture that I took at end of July:



We were at a cabin by lake Saimaa. During the evening we had the opportinity to go and observe some local fishermans at work. The atmosphere was just great. Lake was calm, it was a warm evening, sun was setting, The only problem was that I had made a grand mistake while selecting lenses. I had way too short lens with me, but luckily we could get rather close so I was able to take this shot.


I think I also found the reason for the link problem. I fixed all the previous posts and all pictures should now be visible.

I have recently used a new kind of image links and there seems to be a lot of problems with those. Only strange thing is that my new portfolio image links seem to work although they are from the same place...

I try to fix the links soon.

Anyway I added again one picture more to the "1950's Apartment House" portfolio.

I added a third image to my "1950's Apartment House" portfolio with some doubts.

I also took a glance to my "not processed summer archives" and had enough time to process few images more. Here is one:
