As some of you might know, I have 2 little girls; sometimes I get asked if I would have preferred 2 boys or one boy and a girl.

To tell you the truth, I wouldn’t have it any other way, I am by no means saying that girls are better than boys, but this is all I know, so for me this is the best result.

If I had a boy and a girl or if I had boys only, I probably would have been happier that way as well, because I just wouldn’t have known any better.

Why do I like having girls? They are sensitive and caring, they like ‘pretty’ things and stop to pick flowers and look at butterflies, something I never do myself, (but I quietly enjoy doing with them). They stop to hug you and tell you they love you… just because.

If I had boys, I would probably like the running around, the jumping in the mud, playing with Legos. I might convince myself that I am glad they are not ‘hugging, caring, type’.

In the end, you think you might prefer a boy or a girl, but, on the day, whatever you are ‘given’, will be the best result in the world…
