I hope you don't mind me visiting but i went through your blog archives and have a much better prespective of you as a beautiful kind caring person, I agree with alot of what you say, and I am in a similar situation, and I plan on doing a blog on it if I have the courage, Yes I too am Irish catholic as you were but I still remain Catholic, because I love and accept Jesus and I see both complementing each other, but, i totally embrace my Pagan roots as well, and they are as much a part of me as catholicism is I'm aware that this seems like a contradiction in terms and perhaps hipocracy but its me its what I believe, I suppose I will take heat from both sides I suppose I am in a non win situation but as for this point in time embracing both is my version of Christo-paganism maybe its politically incorrect but its something I will have to work through One reason I love and embrace the Pagan / Druid roots of my ancestors is because of the Goddess concept which the catholic clergy refuses to accept and that they constantly cling to this misogynistic "women are second class" "women need to be subordinate" attitude which I cannot accept as a woman and as a person that deep down realizes her Goddess nature that all women have and also the concept that women are superior to males i'll probably take heat on that too but its my belief.
Anyway I'm just trying to work my way through all this and hopefully pick up a friend along the way, and trust me its not easy, sometimes its like no matter what direction you travel in you hit a brick wall.
Anyway I hope this makes some kind of sense to you
and I hope there is nothing i typed here that may be offensive, such was definately not my intention, if so I deeply apologize I hope you can understand
