Obama: my view
I don't get to talk about politics much but since the 2008 elections are around the corner I felt the need to talk about some of the candidates. I do not hate Obama, I dislike him. We all should be used to negative talk about other politicians from politicians. He is on a campaign to make Hilary look bad I think. He said in an article that Hilary had been a cheerleader for the NAFTA agreement for 10 years. Hilary has a right to change her damn mind. Plus, I am not going to vote for some asshole who does not salute the American flag. I am voting for Hilary, not just because I am a woman, but because she brings new ideas to the presidency. Plus we need a female president! Anyway, that is my thought. Blast away people.

What the heck?
I'm looking at the Yahoo news page and it has where Obama is criticizing Hillary Clinton for her change of views of the NAFTA. Everyone is entitled to change their minds. I honestly think he is doing so just to get attention. I think, in my opinion, that NAFTA is an important because it promotes trade throughout North America. I don't agree that we should be moving our jobs to Mexico, but it is important nonetheless. I think we should focus on the positives of NAFTA while addressing the negatives in a way that helps Canada, America, and Mexico. It is not fair to deprive trade between the three countries. Anyway, that is my opinion.

Catholic church....ugh!
Well I was forced to go to church with my parents today and I was not really happy to say the least. I felt very uncomfortable. I hate being in the Catholic church simply because it stirs up too many negative emotions and I hate being negative. I don't have anything against Catholics, just the fact that I can't stand being in a Catholic church. I feel suffocated. Anyway talk later.

Star Wars Anniversary
I probably haven't mentioned this but I am a major Star Wars fan. I love it! So today is Star Wars 30th anniversary. Can you believe it? If you did not see the Rose parade you should have! It had storm troopers and everything to celebrate it. Happy Anniversary Star Wars!

300 review
This is my review of the movie 300.
Okay first off, I am a huge Gerard Butler fan. So when I saw the preview for this I knew I had to go. Did it disappoint? Hell no! First off, there are men in nothing but loin cloths and capes. Can we say "hotties on patrol here?" Oh my lord the pecs and six pack on Gerry was astounding. The storyline (which most of you will want to know [I'm talking like a horny schoolgirl.]) was excellent. There was a sex scene in which (oh godddess) Gerry was naked and you could basically see him except for his private part. It was a dark scene but still...it left nothing to the imagination. The movie did portray dark stuff. Sex, blood, violence, and rage. However, there was a sense of why these guys were fighting and I loved it. There were funny moments and I love how you can have a movie like 300 with comedic moments. I have not read the comic (though I plan to) but the movie was excellent. I rate it ***** stars.

First Ticket
Wahhh! I got my first ticket ever! I cannot believe it. My perfect record is now mutilated! I know I must seem as if I am overreacting, but I cannot help it. I cannot believe I got a ticket. It is all over the tag on the truck. So I am going to have to save $276 dollars and take that to court on March 20 at 1:00 pm. So I do not look forward to that but I must go. Regardless. I have to be a law-abiding citizen and I am not going to allow this to happen again. Okay. Anyway, talk later.

Fish died
I feel so horrible. My Black Moor goldfish died and I had no clue until today when I did not see him swimming around. I glanced down and found him dead. I am so sad. My golden fantail is still alive but I don't know what caused my Black Moor to die. I hope I don't have parasites. On Monday I am going to go get some things to clean my tank and I might get another fish. It depends. I know when I get enough money from my new job that I will get a new tank and a better filter. Anyway, talk later.

Opened my first bank account
|
Today I have opened my first bank account. I now have a checking and savings account. I don't have much in it now, but when I get paid for my services at H & R Block, there will be more. I am looking forward to spending an allotted amount of money per month. I also have to save for a car (VW Beetle) and began looking for another job in February (at the latest). Mostly because I am a tax pro and I won't be hired for more than 4 months. So anyway, I am ecstatic. I got checks today and some that are going to be sent to me in swirly designs. Real cute. Plus my debit card will be coming sometime in January. I look forward to that. Anyway, talk later.

I was thinking about some good memories of when I was little and even recently. We have this cedar chest and whatever we put in it smells so good. It's older then me and after so many years it retains that scent that I love. Strange eh?

I am so pissed off. Oh goddess! I just found out, from my mom, that some sicko threw a puppy on a grill. Thinking about an animal suffering not only pisses me off to no end. This is why people like that need to be burned at the stake. I'm sorry. The law may view animals as property but they are not. They are creatures like us all and you would not like it if someone threw you on the damned grill. I wish I could burn this person up for the pain that this innocent puppy went through. Oooh!! I want to hurt someone. However, I cannot because it would not be good, but no animal deserves to die that way.

The planets
Okay, I posted earlier about Pluto being a "dwarf planet" and how I respectfully disagree with scientists. I want everyone to know my opinion about this situation, why the planets are important to me. I see the planets a being more than "specks of rock in the sky". I see them as these gorgeous, beautiful planets that deserve respect because maybe one day humankind might be living on them. We might find a way to stabilize Mars' atmosphere for our purposes or who knows what. The point is that Pluto shouldn't have been demoted because I believe it to be a planet. Just because it is smaller than the others does not mean that it is not a planet or should not remain that way. The planets affect us, whether we acknowledge it or not. So show Pluto some respect eh! Anyway, that is enough ranting.

Pluto: A Dwarf Planet?
What is the matter with scientific community? When I was a little girl (about 19 years ago in Kindergarten), I was taught that Pluto was a planet. Not a dwarf planet, a planet! It seems disrespectful to change it's status. Maybe i'm old fashioned and stubborn, but I was taught that Pluto was a planet and that is the way it is going to remain in my eyes, regardles of the scientific communities opinion. Wikipedia describes a dwarf planet as thus: A dwarf planet is a category of celestial bodies in the solar system defined in a resolution passed by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) on August 24, 2006. The definition currently applies only to the Sun's solar system.[1] It applies only to the English language, and terminology may differ in other languages. In the usage approved by the IAU, the category "dwarf planet" is distinct from that of "planet" and also from another new category, "Small Solar System Body". The resolution describes a dwarf planet as an object that: It differs from the definition of the planet in that the dwarf planet has not cleared its orbital neighbourhood. This definition reclassified Pluto from a planet to a dwarf planet because it has not cleared the neighbourhood of its orbit (the Kuiper Belt).
Pluto along with Ceres and Xena are classified as dwarf planets.
Here is wikipedia's definition of a planet:
The International Astronomical Union (IAU), the official scientific body for astronomical nomenclature, defines "planet" as a celestial body that:[1][2] - (a) is in orbit around a star or stellar remnants;
- (b) has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a hydrostatic equilibrium (nearly round) shape;
- (c) is not massive enough to initiate thermonuclear fusion of deuterium in its core; and,
- (d) has cleared the neighbourhood around its orbit.
You can tell how thoroughly pissed I am. Pluto deserves its spot with the planets. I am so angry that they have demoted Pluto to a mere dwarf planet. Next they'll be changing Uranus' name. *sigh* Oh well. I guess we can't expect much.

September 11th
I am sure all of us remember that fateful day in 2001 when the WTC and Pentagon were attacked along with Flight 93. I take this time remembering the people who have suffered and died from this terrible tragedies. It was a terrifying day for all of us, especially those who were there. I just hope that this terrifying attack is never repeated in history. I also hope we never forget because I know I won't.

Negativity
I hate it very much when people get other people down over their beliefs and ideologies. It pisses me off to no return. I cannot believe we live in a world where people cannot freely express themselves without being attacked. You know, if you wish to debate then that is no problem. Everyone has the right to their own opinions and ideologies. Just don't put others down for what they think. I don't put Mormons down for what they believe in even though I believe it is wrong. Even today, the term witch, inspires fear and hate in most people because they do not understand what a witch is. They think we fly on brooms and cast spells and make potions for personal gain and do not care what happens to other people as we do so, which is completely false. Anyway, i've ranted enough. Just remember the next time you say something hurtful or negative about a person's belief that it is going to come back and bite you on the butt. Karma people!

My favorite movie characters
# 1 Erik (The Phantom of the Opera)
I love both the 1989 and the 2004 versions of The Phantom of the Opera. The 1989 version of Erik is so twisted but delightfully wonderful. Robert Englund plays Erik in the 1989 version. I also love ALW's version which is played by Gerard Butler. He is so sexual and sensual. You just want to jump him (in a good way).
# 2 Legolas Greenleaf
Legolas is such a wonderful movie character. He is played by Orlando Bloom. He is such a wonderful character and has a serious but humorous side (i.e. Gimli & Legolas' killing competition in ROTK).
# 3 Captain Jack Sparrow
Played by Johnny Depp, Captain Jack Sparrow is such a funny and delightful character. He is a pirate of course and has such a humorous look at life. I absolutely love him.
# 4 Will Turner
Played by Orlando Bloom, Will is such a wonderful character as well. He is so humorous but serious as well.
# 5 Freddy Krueger
Freddy is so funny to watch. I absolutely love him. He is not scary at all. He has such a funny style of killing that you have to laugh at him. I especially loved Freddy vs. Jason. This showcased his funny side way too much.
# 6 The Candyman
Candyman is such an interesting character. He has such a sad story and such a beautiful deep voice. I absolutely love him.
# 7 Hannibal Lector
Hannibal is too funny. I absolutely think he would be such a wonderful gentleman if it wasn't for the fact he was a cannibal. ^_~

My favorite actors
So to get things off my mind I decided to make a list of my favorite actors. Hope it's interesting.
# 1 Gerard Butler
If you haven't seen A.L.W.'s Phantom of the Opera then you are missing out on one fine actor. Gerard plays the phantom in POTO. He is such a hottie! And he is from Scotland! I have ancestors from Scotland. So anyway, he is my favorite actor.
# 2 Orlando Bloom
I first saw Orlando in Lord of the Rings. My mom and I both agree that he looks better in blond hair and elf ears. ^_^ But he is a real great actor and I absolutely love him.
# 3 Johnny Depp
Johnny Depp actually hails from Kentucky. I was born in Kentucky. ^_^ I love Johnny and his movies. Some of my favorites are Edward Scissorhands, Pirates of the Caribbean 1 & 2, and Corpse Bride.
# 4 Robert Englund
Not many people know who Robert Englund is unless they have watched Nightmare on Elm Street. Can you guess who he plays? Freddy of course! He has also played Erik Destler in a wonderful yet twisted version of The Phantom of the Opera (1989) version. I absolutely love him.
# 5 Tony Todd
Tony Todd plays one of my favorite characters. Can you guess? Tony Todd played the Candyman. I absolutely love his beautiful deep voice. I think he is just so wonderful.
# 6 Anthony Hopkins
Another favorite of mine. He played Hannibal Lector. He is such a wonderful actor.

Computers and Me

Well I thought I would talk a bit about my computer experience since Miss Heather left me such a wonderfully nice comment. Okay, so well my first computer was in the late 80's, early90's. It ran on DOS and floppy disks. I mean the actual floppy disks. Not what we call floppy's today. We then got a Hewlett Packard. Which lasted for a while.
Skipping ahead to high school...I participated in a computer program where I took a basic web design class. My html skills, I feel, are pretty good. I rather like simple design than complex, but I used to do complex when I had Paint Shop Pro. I would like to get the new version.
Anyway, that's the short story of it. I would like to take a few web design classes over the internet and start a web business of designing others sites. It would be an interesting prospect, one which I will keep in thought.

Thoughts

I am thinking about taking some web design courses online when I graduate from college. Back in the day when I was in high school I used to love creating websites, in fact I am working on a personal and writing website that I can use. I am also teaching an HTML class on a forum, however I would love to further my education in web design and I think with a few courses I could expand and maybe make a business out of it. ^_^ Anyway, talk later.

Thoughts on bisexuality

I have expressed my thoughts only briefly on bisexuality and the gay/les/bi world. So I thought I would tell you all my thoughts. Although some may consider it wrong, I am bisexual. I am sure I have told you about the incident when I was in high school, but if not I shall tell you once more. I told my mother I was bisexual one night and she said I should pray. I remember praying for a time and my feelings did not change.
I for one support the g/l/b movement. People often stereotype gays as being pansy men who have too much fashion sense. People stereotype lesbians as being either butch or femme. I have not yet heard of stereotypes for bisexuals but I am sure most ignorant people think we can't make up our minds, or some deluded thought.
It is quite the opposite though. I feel attracted to both sexes, and though it may seem odd for everyone else to accept, I personally do not give a shit. I saw a funny (actually not so funny) thing the other day while I was up in Kentucky. I saw a car with a bumper sticker that had a picture of a man and a woman and said something along the lines 'the way marriage should be' or something to that effect. That sickens me. It truly does.
I guess I would rather spend my life as a fucking spinster than have to marry a man when I am in love with a woman (like I said I am bi, so I like men). There are some idiotic, uneducated people in the world. (Namely Bush *coughs*) I think for the most part though, the g/l/b community is moving in the right direction and one day all the states (hopefully) will let women marry women and men marry men.
Anyway, thats my thoughts.
