8/18/2006 - Opend Umbrella

This is something of a classic superstition and really I am not sure quite what my feelings on this one are, I cannot say I completely belive in it, but nor can I say I completely disregaurd it, this is one of those supersistions that I kind of have the better safe then sorry take one.

It is said that it is bad luck to open an umbreall inside a house or building, now wheather it truly is or not I suppose is up for you to judge, but like many of the classic supersitions such as this there is some logic behind it. For one thing it would be quite insenseable to open an umbreall indoors. There is no use for such inside.

But if you do suffer from this supersistion or just rather play it safe, here is the remedy of bad luck which might be gained from an open umberalla in the house.

If someone opens and umbrella indoors it is supposed to represent the sunshine being blocked out. Quickly open and close the umbrella twice more (thrree times total) and then take it outside and show it to the sun. Bring the umbrella back indoors unopened and sprinkle a little sugar on it. Sweetness will now rain on your for a week or more.
