Elephants are an old and powerful symbol which are most commonly associated with good luck and good fortune. The Hindus worship the Elepahnt God Ganesha who is seen as the God of sucess and prosperty, here is a supersistion revolving around these symbols.

If you want an elephant to bring you trunks of money buy a speical elepahnt charm or orniment on the first day of a new venture or job. This will work just as well if it is your first day of a course at a new college. But please note that the animal must have its trunk up not dangaling down. Place the elepant however small facing the door of a your office or study, or whichever place you work. Rub the trunk and wish for blessings and at the same time promoise not to be tigh with money you earn. Attend often to the position of the elepehant; if it gets knocked down or turned around make sure you replace it properly. It must always face the door. Whenever you are lucky with money place a few very small flowers at the elephants feet by way of thanks.

I am thinking of trying this out. I will by one of those jade elephants I think or one of those red ones that they sell with all the Buddahs and dragons and such at vendors and some small little shops here and there. I will put it in the study where I do my writing. Hey it could not hurt.
