I thought I should say a few words about the Astral Plane itself since I have spoken to the subjects of Astral Projection and Mind Projection. As many might before familler with the concept of Astal Projection but find the Astral Plane itself is a rather obsecure and vauge idea. So here is a bit of an overview as ot just what the Astral Plane is. It may help your understanding reguarding techniques such as Astral Projection.

First of all I would like to say that the Astral Plane is one of those concepts which are open to intterpitation that is people of varrying different beleifs in the Pagan system might see and term the Astral Plane differently. As I am here to be as informitive as possible and not impose my specific beleifs on anyone I shall try to give a decent overview that is not too particular and inculdes a few differnet trains thought. To try and give a genreal idea what it is all allowing each individual to formulate thier own interpitation of it.

Traditionally the astral plane is seen as being a metaphysical place behind this world or reality. It is seen as being another realm of exsistince which is cast behind the viel (which I will discuss further at a later date) and so it cannot be reached, or is not tangable by the physcial body which is why Astral projection is needed. Some view the astral plane as being like the dream world, and it is sometimes termed the world of illusion. And seen as a place that does not obey the rules of our known world. The difference being between typical dreams or dreams of sleep and the astral plane is that the astral plane exisists outside of our sub-concious and is its own place not created by our thoughts and minds as dreams are genreally considered to be. As well it is genreally belived that things which happen to your in the astral plane can have affect upon your physical body, and so there is some danger and risk in the astral plane. Another beleif and view formed around the astral plane is that it is the place souls go after the body has died and wait untill it is thier time to be reincarnated into the world once more. It is beleived that there are guides whom remain within the astral plane to help both the arriving souls, and those whom travel there via astral projection.
