9/18/2006 - Dream Catcher

I have a dream catcher hanging beside my bed and I find them to be both attrachtive and mediative as well as giving a genreal sense or relaxtion and they come in use in spells and rituals relating to sleep and dreams. Here is a bit of informaiton about dream catchers.

A Native Tradition

Dream catchers are a Native American tradition based on the belief that dreams are filled with meaning and purpose. Native Americans designed and emplyed dream catchers so that no vital message contained in thier dreams would be lost.

Protecting Dreams

The design of the dream catcher is a hoop with crystals, feathers, and beads attached, joined in a web-like net with a hole in the center. It protects you from harm while you rest, catching good dreams as they pass by and getting rid of any bad dreams as they drop through the hole in the midde.
