Reading tea leaves is a very old and traditional method of divination, and there are different ways in which it can be done, here is one of the methods that might be used.

After the tea is consumed place the cup upside down upon the saucer and turn it around three times. The leaves in the saucer show the past, and those that stay in the cup tell the future. A leaf on the rim reperesents the present the present time and indicates somthing happening currently.

• Small specks symbolize mony
• A shape like a pair of shoes means a trip
• A long stem represents a man
• A short stem represents a female
• Long wavy lines denote losses and vexations
• Straight lines foretell peace and long life
