10/9/2006 - Power of Numbers

Before I had posted a little bit about numerology, well beyond the beleif in thier use to try and foresee the future, numbers can act as powerful symbols. Here is a list of numbers that have a special or devine power and meaning attached to them.

3: The number of dinity; for Pagans it was the number represenitive of the tripple Goddess (The Maiden, The Mother, and The Crone) and then it became the Holy Trinity (The Father, The Son, and the Holy Ghost) Also it can be seen as the three stages (Birth, Death, and Rebirth)

4: The number of the Earth; The four elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Air) the four seasons (Summer, Winter, Spring, Fall), and the four corrners of the earth, also called the four winds (East, West, North, South)

7: this is a classical lucky number, it is seen as the number of All, for it is the combination of the Divinity, and the Earth. It is everything; completion.

1: the number indivulaty or unity. It can stand alone, or it can be all together.

2: the number of dulaity: Man and Woman;  the Sky and Earth

3: in this sequence three is seen as the sum of all life experinces. Man, Woman, and Child; Birth, Life, and Death; Mind, Body, and Soul; Past, Present, and Future.
