11/3/2006 - Merlins Harp and Ring

The king summoned Merlin to forestall a wedding between a young apperntice magician and the king's own daughter. En route, Merlin woke to find his harp and ring had been stolen by the young apprentice, who'd tricked him with a sleeping potion. The great magcian did indeed attend the wedding, not to prevent it but to congratualte the youth for outwitting him.

Rejoice in people who excel. Honor thier achievements. It is egotistical to assume that you are surperior at all times even in the thing you do best. The wisest soul practices humility by recognizing talent and by learning from others.
