11/13/2006 - Lavender and Basil Cure

With the hollidays comming up there is apt to be a lot of stress, so if you need to wind down, and feel a headache comming on, here is a natural way to relax yourself.

You will need: A sachet of dried lavender or a compress dipped in lavender oil; 1 meter of green ribbon; a basil leaf

Smell the lavender and breathe its fragrence right into your system to cleanse and relax you (you can place the compress on your head for a few minitues) Take your ribbon and wind it around the index finger of your left hand. Place it to your "thrid eye" (which is located upon the center of your forhead) and gently rub back and forth over it. Now unwind the ribbon and wrap it around your forehead like a headband, securing a basil leaf under it over the third eye. Relax for ten minitues completely, and imagine the posions draining out of your forehead into the ribbon. When you feel a lightening of the ache, remove the ribbon, cut it in half and discard it. This should lesson even a violent headache and drive off a presisstent one.

I would recomend doing this while in the bath, as the warm water will further help ease the body, and that is the one place a person can really close themselves off from the rest of the world and be least likely to be distrubed. Or if there is a faveorite place you have, a garden perhaps, or a room you find particuarly soothing, that would be good as well, but it should be somewhere that no one will disturb you.
