Near Hadrian's Well, in northen England, a well was dedicated to Conventina, goddess of water and springs, and associated with abundance, inspiration and prophecy. Devotees left symbolic offerings for the alluring goddess in hopes that she would grant them successful achievenment of amitions and ventures.
