The branches in the heavens, its roots underground, the tree for the Celts symbolized life's deepest meanings; our origins to the mysterious life force or elan vital, our destiny in the Otherworld or afterlife. A tree's seasonal cycles represented life, death and rebirth.

Contemplate your own Tree of Life. Trace its roots to the sources of who you are; the influences of time and place, family, role models, and mentors. Admire its furits; the ahcivements you are proud of. Have faith in its buds; your cherished goals. End your meditation by imagining one bud flowering in its own time.
