3/8/2007 - Rosemary Remedy

There are times when none of the family is quite preforming at thier peak. Tension, stress, or overtiredness can all be contirbuting to a genrealsense of malaise, so here is an excellent ritual to help get your coencentration and mental energy back on track

You will need: 25g freshly picked rosemary, rosemary oil, a base lotion or thick quality night cream preferably unprefumed.

This draws on rosemay's ancient association with waking up the brain. A custom so strong that ancient Greek scholars wore garlands of the herb to help them think. If someone in the family is studying hard, prepare a tea of rosemary using flower tops, or several sprigs if the flowers are not out, and infushing it one liter of boling water. Leave it for five or ten minitues, strain, and drink three cupfuls through the day, sweetening with honey if desire. Before they go into thier exam or meeting, rub a mild ointment of rosemary on thier temples: about two drops rosemary oil mixed with one tablespoon of good quality skin lotion. This will stiumulate their senses and keep them alert.
