To prevent rivals from flirting

Place your lover's signature, handwriting, or photograph underneath an upturned jelly jar. Smear a small white candle with a few drops of lavender oil, from the top to the center, and the base to the center. Place the candle beside the jar, light the candle and say

The ring of light around (name of lover) I love

kindled by heaven's flame above, will now stop (name of rival)

from flirting, and me from hurting.

Snuff out the candle
