When tourmented by a love that is not returned, or after you have had a breakup, but still suffer from feelings for your former love, you can purge your feelings with fire.

You can either start up a bonfire outside, or do this in your fireplace if you have one. Get a fire going and then kneel before it with a handful of dried vervain leaves. Toss the leaves into the fire all at once and say the words. "Creature of fire, flames that roar. Purge me of pain, let it torment no more. Consume the hurt, that my soul is set free. As I will, so mote it be."

As the fragrance of the herb penetrates the air, breathe it in deeply and visualize your entier being filling with peace and calm.
