6/13/2007 - Attracing Friendly Garden Spirits

Gazing globes, or gazing balls, as they are commonly called, today are seen as a rather common item of garden decor, but they were once used to protect property from the evil stares of passerbys, as well they attract garden spirits who are drawn to thier shiny surface.

To charge a gazing globe so it will attract frinedly garden spirits during a spring or summer Full Moon wash your globe with bottled water spring water. Place it in your garden and say "Gazing globe, round as Moon, protect each plant and bloom. With your refelective light, attract fairy and sprite"

Then in the garden near the globe, place an oak leaf, a spirg of ivy, and a fern leaf.

Garden spirts will know they are now welcome in your garden. Show your thanks occasionaly by leaving a shinny new penny or a sprinkle of bird seed.
