Beautiful fossils turned over on the seacoast or on the grounds of your home are a good omen, called fairy loaves.
If you are lucky enough to find one lift the stone and instantly say thank you. Standing where you are, turn three times on the spot, clockwise.
Take it home and clean it as though it was treasure. Place it on a mantleplace or on top of your stove. While it remains in your home, you should never want for bread. Caress it from time to time, when your luck could do with a boost.
But do not leave it outside, that would abuse fairy hopitality.

12/11/2007 - Charm Against the Evil Eye
To make a traditional charm against the evil eye gather up beads preferably with a circular design known as eye beads becasue they appear to have an shape in the pattern, though any shiny beads will do. Hang the beads on strings about your work place, attrached to drawer handels, the brancehs of plants and so on to create a repllent against any negative energy you my experince in your work place. If you cannot hang the beads at work, or prefer not to, you may wear them around your wrist or neck, you can even keep them hidden under your shirt if you choose.
Anywhere else you might experince angry glances and negativity you can use this charm, you may wish to hang some in your car against road rage, or wear them upon your person anytime you go out into public.
You can even hang some around your house if you fear wrath from neighbors.

11/30/2007 - Celtic Cross
Making the sign of the cross acts as protection. The cross symbolizes the powers of the four elements and can act as a shield and berrier.
Bad energy tends to go right to the stomach, so when you have to deal with hostile people, or have a bad experince draw your fingers acorss your upper and lower abdomen and make a small equal armed cross. Repeat the motion several times, while visualizing a shield of protective energy building in front of you.
Then rub your palm around the area in a circular motion unitll you feel more relaxed. If you have to confront negativity on a reular basis, hand a Celtic cross on a very long cord, and wear it beneath your shirt posistioned about your navel.

10/23/2007 - Warding Doors
To make a charm that will protect your home, take two pieces of beading wire and form them in the shape of the Eohl rune, and then thread upon the wire, amethyst or malachite chips. Once the wire is covered, put enough hot glue upon the ends to keep the chips from sliding off.
Hang the rune-shaped wire upon your door, and invision its protective energy keeping negativitiy at bay.

10/12/2007 - Walnut Charm for Prosperity
For a prosperity spell gather nine walnuts, nine dimes, nine whole cloves, nine crumbles cinnamon sticks, and some mustrad seeds and bay luarel leaves.
To start, carefully open the walnuts and clean out the shells. In each half shell, place one whole clove, some crumbled cinnamon stick, bay lural, eighteen mustard seeds, and one dime.
During a Full Moon, let the moonlight shine on the contents in thier shells and feel the energy entering the coins and herbs. After meditating on this, take super glue and seal the two halves of each walnut together taking care not to spill the contents. Paint the walnuts with gold metallic paint and leave themn on your altar.
Take a waulnut with you when you need a change of prosperity.

9/19/2007 - Travel by Water Talisman
If traveling by water you may find portection by gathering the following items:
A small silver or blue cloth bag
a bit of paper with the sings of Venus and Neptune drawn on it
a twig of rowan wood
a tiny cork
a bit of driftwood
a small smell or piece of abalone
a tine wood, clay, or plastic dolphin.
At the Full Moon, assemble the items on your altar (if you do not have one, you may place them upon a table) cast a circle round them and charge the items by chanting: "Venus, Neptune, blessed be. Protect your child upon the sea; like a dolphin roam, and come safely home. Protect your child upon the sea. Venus, Neptune, blessed be"
Put the itmes in the bag to carry with you on your voyage.

9/17/2007 - Enviromental Protection Amulet
Gather together fallen feather, dried twigs, leaves and flowers from as many species as possible in your area. Play with what you have gathered, so you become intimately familliar with each piece; the patterns of the plants, the softness of the feathers, the smell of the flowers and twigs. With a peice of grass, or a thick thread or string, bind the materials together, enchanting them as you do so by saying: "All things are magick, to ignore them is tragic. All things high and low, are to be protected. With this little charm, I protect all from harm."
Hang the charm up or place it in a dry bud vase, where you can see it every day. Each time you view it send out your love and protective power over all the specieis and things it represents.

9/12/2007 - Say No Talisman
If you are inclined to say yes too often and often regret it, you may make a No Way talisman.
This would be a tiny pouch worn about your neck, stuffed with little papers on which you have written words and phrases such as No, Never, Nyet, I think not, Not in a billion years, and so on.
Charge the talisman by drumming at the dark of the Moon.
Next lightly touch your lower lip and say "No" very firmly. Do it again and say "I think not" and repeat such phrases one hundred times.
The next time anyone askes you for anything touch your lower lip in exzactly the same way and touch your talisman with your other hand. You will have the pwoer to refuse if you choose to.

8/16/2007 - Rue and Vervain Prosperity Bag
To make a powerful propserity pouch, obtain a rue plant, and a vervain plant from a local nursery. Make a small pouch of bright red velvet, cotton, or silk, and in this red bag put coarse salt. Stich the pouch closed. Then form a larger red bag with a drawstring of red cord. Into this bag, loosetly place the little pouch containing the salt, some rue leaves, and some vervain. This bag will bring you both prosperaity and protection.

The circle symbolizes both the Sun and the archtype of the self. This is astrologicaly appropraite becasue sun signs represent self-expression.
And important addtion to anyone's collection of magickal jewlary is a circular broach or pendent. If you have such an article charge it with the following spell to recall you to your self.
First hold the item to the light of the noon Sun as you recite. "In this round myself am found; whole unto myself, at once with the circle of power and creation."
Then wear the amulet when feeling tired or ill to invole the restoration that comes through recoonection with the deep self.

7/2/2007 - Getting Rid of an Unwanted Habbit
To eliminate an unwanted habit, or trait, make a puppet of yourself, out of cloth, stray, or a carved candle. Make symbols or words on it to indicate what you want to release forever, allowing anger to build within you that you have practiced this unwanted behavaior.
Call upon Pluto or Hecate to assist your resolve to fully carry out chance in your life. Then using a safe container such as an iron cauldron, or metal bowl, anoint the puppet with a few drops of oil of myrrh, pennyroyal, rosemary, or rue. Then carefully set it on fire, visualizing the release of your unwanted habbit or trait forever.
Burn the puppet to ashes and then take the ashes to a place where you have no need to be at any time soon. Burty it, turn firmly and walke away. Do not look back.

6/28/2007 - Diety Charm
To bring protection to your home, and honor your patron Dieties create a talisman in the honor of the God or Goddess of your choice, preferably a personal or altar god if you have one, or a God or Goddess whom you feel is particuarly imporant to you individually.
Learn all you can and consider all you know about the Diety you wish to honor and selcet a shape and ingredients for your talisman that have some connection to your Deity or would most appeal to the Deity.
Once you have creatued your talisman place it on the doorstep and say "On this dwelling I place a charm to ward away all ill-will and harm. By the sacred blessings of three times tree, as I will, so mote it be."

6/22/2007 - Love Talisman
To make a talisman to draw new love into your life you will need a Moon-drenched night, ( night in the moonlight is bright) perferbaly during a Full Moon, a needle and thread, and some pink or red felt. Sew into the felt a small pouch, and place inside items that have been magickaly charged to draw love. Love letters, your nail clippings, song lyrics, and love herbs such as, vanilla, rue, myrtle, violet, rose, apricot, apple, yarrrow, rosemary, clove, dill, dragons blood, meadowsweet, lemon, or thyme. A rose quartz or clear quartz crystal may also be added. Sew up the pouch while the light of the moon washes over it and say "By my hands the spell is begun; love comes to me through what I have done."
Rededicate the tailisman at each Full Moon, and carry it with you untill you find the love you seek.

5/25/2007 - Knot Meditation
This is a meditation I came up with myself, and somewhat by accident, but I found it to be affective, in helping to clear the mind, gain focus or calm the mind and realive stress.
First take a piece of string, thred, cord, ribbon, etc... in whatever color is most appealing to you. I would say somewhere between 4-6 inches would be a good lenghth but utliamtely it can be as long or short as you would like it.
Tie as many knots you can along the length of it, from end to end, without overlapping knots, so they should be single knots going down the lenght of your thread, You should try to have them at least somewhat evenly spaced between them, but it does not have to be an exazt science.
Once you have all your knots just take one end between your fingers, and with your other hand begin to pull the thread through your fingers pausing for a couple of secounds at each knot just to feel it between your fingers, before you move on untill you reach the other end, and then repeat the process going back down to the other end. And just keep repeating this process of pulling the thread through your fingers from end to end, for as long as you like or feel you need. As you do this focus only on the feeling of the knots against your fingers, and if you want, you can at each knot contemplate upon one of the stressers in your life, and as you move on to the next knot, it can symoblize you moving past the stress and putting it behind you, and so forth.
And this is handy to take with you, you can put it in your purse, bag, wallet etc.. and bring it out to use in near any situation or in any envrioment, or you can find a good place to keep it where you will have easy access to it when you need it.
You can also try this to help you get past any anxieits or fears you might have. For example if you are afired of flying but have to travel somewhere, you can take your string with you, and just thread it through your fingers during the fight, and just focus on the knots and take your mind off of anything else happening around you.
This simply technique can really be extended and put out to many different uses.

These are just assorted useful tips, though I usually like to keep things neatly orginized, being each of these are only a couple lines long, I thought to just put them together instead of post each sperately.
- Wear multicolored agate jewlary for bravery and to bolster any healing work
- Tuck a sprig of rosemary under your pillow to promote restufl sleep and sweet undistrubed dreams
- To bring rain burn fern leaves outside
- Keep an acorn on the windosill or use it as a window shade pull to grant protection
- Gentely gather dried bark from the oak-leaf hydrange shrub to be used in powerful protection spells

Spread happiness among others, and attract it simultaneously for yourself with the following gesture
When the first of any particular species of flower appears, either in your yard or in flower shops, make a hand-tied bunch or posy for yourself and four other people, and add a vital sprig of rosemary before securing the whole with silver or burgundy colored ribbon. Add a luggage label or simple tag whishing the recipients a Happy Day, and place the posy somwhere unexpected for them to find. Place your own bunch in a glass vase, and light a silver or bugundy candle beside it. Your gesture, which will have brought joy to the others will back to you fourfold within four days or weeks.

1/15/2007 - Three Woven Ribbons
To strengthen your bound to your partner this spell is best preformed on St. Agnes Eve (January 19) or Valentines Eve (Febuary 13)
You will need: 3 ribbons each 38cm. long, 1 pink, 1 lavender and 1white, a vanilla pod
Tie the three ribbons togetehr by a knot in the top, saying your partner's name, your name, and asking the help of Venus or Isis. Speaking the three names as you go, make the ribbons into a beauitful braid, and secure the end with another knot. Place the ribbons to your heart and wish your loved one "only good." Now wind the braid gently but fimrly around the vanilla pod. This love charm is speacial for your and your partner. You should keep it with you, especailly when you meet each other and sleep on it at night. If you are right for each other, he/she will soon declare himself/herself.

11/1/2006 - The Rosemary Blessing
To ensure success in a venture, or to bless a house or journey
You will need: a few sprigs of rosemary; green or gold ribbons; a glass of wine
Make a rosemary charm on All Hallows Day (Novermber 1) or on May Day, by making a crude doll from a few sprigs of the rosemary tied into arms, and legs, around the body with the green or gold ribbons. Place it in your kitchen. Take a leftover sprig of rosemary from your workings and, on the eve of your depature or house move, or the porject you wish to bless, pop it into a glass of wine and drink a toast to good spirits and positive luck. Share the toast with anyone else invoeld in the project, you wish to seek luck.

10/16/2006 - Wishing Well
It would be worthwhile to dig a little well for luck if you can; otherwise have a small ornamental well, or find one near where you live to invest in. When constructing a well, you should put a brand new coin in the bottom and tell the spirit of the well that you are putting prosperity into the Earth. If you have a ready-made well, toss in a new coin to consecrate it. Once you have filled it with water, make a powerful wish for the happiness of the earth around you. Plant a few flowers nearby that will flower each season: bulbs for early spring, then something of your own choice for the other months including winter. Pluck the first flower of each season and make a wish on the well with the flower in hand: ask for luck and happiness. The well may change your life for the better, but always give something back to others.

9/27/2006 - Corn Dolly
These are traditional ways of drawing down the power of the Gods for fertility and plenty in the year to follow the corn harvest. Make your doll from anything you have at hand. It is extremely lucky if you make it from the last of anything you have been working with, such as the last trimmings of bread or biscuit, or (by tradition) the last corn harvested in the field. If your doll is made from growing things (corn, rosemary, herbs, grasses, lavender, etc..) make it as beautifully as you can and tie it in places with green or golden-yellow ribbon. Use wire to get the shape right if need be. If your doll is backed, decorate is carefully and finish it with ribbons and pretter fabric. Hang your doll up somewhere it can reamain, and on no account give it away. Wish on it every time you require special luck in business or in finding extra sums. The whole figure brings luck to your work throughout the year.
