12/1/2007 - Mirror Shield

This is a shield idea that I have contemplated on more then one occasion but never really had the oppertunity or reason to put into use, untill recently, and I am quite happy with it.

I call it the mirror shield, as you will see becasue the idea is for to act like a mirror and relefct energy back.

The mirror shiled is ment to use as portection if you think someone might wish you will or if you fear that negative energy might be sent your way.

Begin as you would with any shield. Find a comftrable place to sit, or if you prefre lay, and close your eyes, visualize white energy surrounding you but, then imagine that the shiled is made up of relfective mirrors facing away from you. So the glass so to speak is on the outside facing outward and visulize any negative energy that might be sent to you, hitting the glass and being relfected away and returning back to the sender.

While making the shiled you might find it helpful to say a little chant, something like.

"All negativeity and ill wishes will be returned, let the sender be burned"

7/6/2007 - Chakra Clesnsing Meditation

This is a technique I developed myself when feeling stressed particuarly about a situation or events that are out of your hands and control. This meditation uses the Chakras to help clesne the body and restore balance and calm to your mind once more.

 

Place your hands together, as if you were about to pray and then place them just above your head, where the crown chackra is. Breath in slowly, and as you do this, begin to pull your arms down, keeping your hands together in prayer formation, visualize black negative energy being pulled down untill your reach the last chackar, the base chackar, which is just about the genitelia. Then breath out and thrust your hands froward as if thrwoing something away, and imagine the negative energy being dispelled from your body the way your body would discharge phyiscal waste.

 

Keep doing this untill you feel balance and clam restored to your mind once more.

A familiar is an animal that is most traditionaly associated with witches, and often commonly in the form of a black cat, though one does not have to be a witch to have a familiar nor does one nessciarly have to have only one familiar and a familiar can come in the form of any animal, I myself though I do not consider myself a witch I am a Pagan and I just so happen to have 2 familiar's and ironlicly enough they do both happen to be beauitful black cats.

So just what is a familiar? Well it is an animal that a person forms a very special in some caseses almost telepathic bond with, and it is the common beleif that your familair will find you and come to you, you do not choose your familair. A familair is an animal that is seen as holding a special power all its own and choses a master for itself to bond with and then to help aide and guide through life as well as to be an assisitent in magicakal rites.

6/28/2007 - The Fifth Element

Just as Pagans, and those within the Magick Community, as well as other preponents of the supernatural hold that there is this elusisive extra sense, an invisable, non-tangeable sense, that is not recgonized or ranked among the known 5 senses, and so refered to as the Sixth Sense, it is the same with the elemants.

Among Pagans, there is a 5th elemental that is not widely known or regonized by those outside the community. Though most Pagans and Wiccans alike are quite famillar with this elemental. I am speaking of course of the elemant of Spirit as it is called. It is not tangeable or visable, and known in the physcial world as the 4 common elements are, but it is a pressence that is known to be there.

The 5th element makes up the top point of the start of the pentagram. This idea of spirit can include and refer to many different things. Spirit can indicate the Goddess and Gods themselves, or it can be the force or energy which connects all life and lives within all things. Spirit can be the very soul of the individual, the life force and power of the practioner. Or it can be the very power of the force of the magick itself.

It can be all these things in one. It can also be the combination of all for elements. The center point of unity. In fact in Aztec beleif they had a very simillar concept, thier compas held that there were 5 directions instead of four. For they considered the very center of the compass were all directions met as being the 5th direction.

Each person might interept, see, feel, and sense spirit in a different way, though neither is wrong or right. For spirit is however we choose to embody it.

5/20/2007 - Strengthen the Will

To help bring strength to your will which will give greater power to any future magick work you do and help you overall in life, stand at the bottom of a steep hill. Call upon the energy of the Earth, reaching deep into her center and feeling her energy flowing up through your feet and throughout your body.

 

Take three deep breaths and begin to climb. When you reach the top of the hill, turn slowly clockwise three times and look at the view as you offer thanks to the Mother, to the universe, and to the power within yourself for the disciplien and will in reaching the top.

 

Breathe deeply, refelcting on what you have acomplished and what you will now be able to acomplish. Feel the energy of the Earth beneath you, close your eyes and turn slowly clockwise three times once more. Then look down at the ground. Find a small token from the Mother to take with you as a reminder of what you heave learned about yourself.

5/6/2007 - Self Healing

I find this technique is good for healing abdomneal aches and pains, and matters of the stomach.

 

Close your eyes and place your hands so that the tip of your right thumb touches the tip of your left thum and the tip of your right index finger touches the tip of your left index finger, forming a triangular shape, over the area that is causing the pain.

 

Take deep breaths, breathing in with the nose and out through the mouth, the same you would as preparing for meditation and clear your mind, thinking not of the pain and discomrot, you want to get your body to relax, and visulize it relaxing, by visulizting the energy just flowing through your body and expelling all inpurities.

 

As you do this you should also open the Sacral Chakra, the Chakra just over the navel, as this well aide the healing.

4/28/2007 - Awakening the Third Eye

Find a place where you will not be distrubed or distracted, you may play music, burn scented candles, or incsense or just sit in the quiet, whatever helps you best relax without distracting your mind. Sit in a position that is most comftrable to you and close your eyes and clear your mind. There is a breathing exercise that is commonly used in meditation that helps one to clear the mind.

 

You should breath in through the nose slowly for about 4 secounds, hold for about 2 secounds then breath out slowly of your mouth slowly for about 4 secounds, hold, then breath in again, and so forth, this makes you concentrate upon your breathing and keeps your thoughts from wondering untill you are able to fee relaxed and reach peace of mind

 

Once your mind is clear you may breath normally again, visulize nothing but blackness, and then slowly, almost as if you were opening your eyes, or an eye, picture within the blackness a small window opening up in which you can see out of the black, to start you might want to focus on something spefict to view out of that window, perpas a certian place, an image you are found of. But it should only be through that small portal, on either side of you should still remain black and "out of your sight" so you are only foucsing just head of you, as if you were seeing just through one eye.

 

As you do get more advanced and more use to it, after you open your third eye you should let your subconcious completely take over, instead of trying to focus on a specific image, let the image come to you.

4/17/2007 - Working with the Elements

Of course I am sure we all know the importance of the elements and working with the elements, and I am sure that many of us have an element or perhaps elements which we are feel strongest and most adapt at, as well as element or elements which we feel weakest with, the exercises below are intended both to stregenthen are ablity and bond with are strong elements and build a greater connection to our weaker elements.

Fire

Find a place you can go where you will be left alone and not disturbed, this should be done somewhere dark and you might wish to wait untill night, though this one is best done inside, becasue the wind, and open air can affect and further distub the flame of the candle used in this meditation.

With that being said, you should light a single candle and find a place to set it where it will obviously be safe, but close, then take a comftrable posistion either sitting or laying beside or just in front of where the candle is. Clear your mind of all thoughts and just gaze into the candle flame, though you do not want to be looking specialy in/at the candle flame, but almost as if you were gazing just beyound the flame of the candle, for it is the energy of the element you are trying to reach, not the physcial flame itself.

You will have to be patient and keep your mind as clear as possible, just loosing yourself into the fire and the dance of the flame, untill you will start to see the auroa of the flame, clolors, or red, blue green, purple, will radiate out from the candle flame, at this point you have found the center of the element of fire, and have connected with it, once you have achicived this you can work at trying to control the flame, for instance trying to get it to burn higher, or go down lower, or get the flame to flicker toward the right or the left.

Water

For this one, I think it is best to sit within the bathtub while running the water, so you might wish to do this one at the time you are getting ready to take your bath anyway, but I would not recomend trying to do this in the shower, a bath would work far better. While the water is filling into the tub sit so you are facing the water faucet, clear out your mind of all thoughts, and rest your hands so they are just under the faucet resting in the water of the tub. Focus upon the falling water and just listen to the sound of it as it pours down out of the faucet, try to remain as still as possible.

Remain like this untill you reach the point where you loose complete track of time, and feel a sense of almost serenity and you are completely at one with the water and have reacher the center of the element of water, from here you can try to work with the water, for example see if you can make the water fall harder and faster, or if you can cause it to ease up and fall slower, or try changing the tempature, to make it warmer, or cooler.

Air

Well this one is a bit more difficult then the others, simply because it is the one element you cannot control or make come upon will and cue, your only option is to wait untill the wind comes, and preferebly when there is a strong and steady wind, for one thing you do not want the wind to just stop when you are in the middle of this meditation and for another the stronger the wind the stronger its energy is.

You should find a good place where you are not likely to have a lot of intruptions and if possible somewhere up high, to be closer to the wind would be good, upon a hill, or a bluff, and so forth, despite the cold you are going to have to tough it out and go with as miminal clothes as possible, that does not mean you have to be naked just that lots of jackets and sweaters and such will weaken your connection to the wind, it is better to have the wind touching your skin where possible, a pair of jenes and a t-shirt for instance would work just fine.

You should open yourself up completely to the wind and let yourself be completely releaxed, resist the urge to tense up and pull yourself in close as we tend to do when cold, but you should stand with your arms streached out at your sides, and your head tilted up into the wind and just feel it as it blows around you. Focus on the feeling of the wind and try and invision yourself as if you were in the very center of the wind, like being in the eye of a storm, visulize yourself and feel yourself standing in the eye of the wind.

Remain like this untill you acutally achive this goal when you are standing in the center of the wind so you are aware of it blowing around you, but are no longer affected by the feel of it, the cold of it, and then you can try and comand it, you can try to acutally cause it to blow in a small cyclone circling around you, or you can and call it to blow stronger or, try and call it off to calm down and slaken.

Earth

Now this is one of the hardest simply becasue the earth is stationary, there is no way you can really direct it, or change it, it will remain, it does not move, it is not flexable as the other elements are. But that does not mean you cannot try and become closer and streagthen your connection to it.

The best way to do this is to find a place outside, as much in nature as possible, a park will due if you have one near you, and sit in a comftrable posistion upon the ground, place your hands on either side of you with your plams down pressed against the grass and the earth under you, and clear your mind of thought and just feel the energy flowing between your hands and finger tips and into the earth, and then flowing back into you. Be aware of the solidness of the earth under you, feel its weight pulling you down, as if you were growing roots like a tree and diving down into the earth.

Many Pagans today have adapted some from of Karma into thier beleif system, the Three Fold Law, of the Wiccans, springs from the ideas of Karma, though Karama was never orignaly apart of traditional Pagansim, but came from the Hindu and Buddhists relgions, it has overtime began to enter into the Pagan fold, though in doing so it has also been transformed and adapted, primairly the changes and adaptations made to orginal Karmic beleif are on an individual basis, each person has thier own way of interpeting it.

 

The basic idea of Karma relates to energy, our energy and the energy which presides in every living thing and makes up the fabric of life, that is to say. Karma is the idea that everything a person does, every action they commit will in some way or another come back around to them, this has to do with the idea what if you for example do good works and deeds you help produce positive energy around yourself and this can affect the things that happen around you, having posistive energy can help clear obsticals out of the way and clings to your soul, and consequently if you do bad things you will attract and produce negative energy which can hinder you.

 

It is also a basic beleif that Karam not only can affect you in the here and now but as you accumulitate both positive and negative energy which will stay attached to your soul and stay with you, so that it might have some bearing and affect upon your afterlife or your rebirth as the case may be depending upon what you beleive.

4/5/2007 - Premission Asking

Premission asking, as I call it is a practice of which I reguarly use and one that I think is a good habbit to get into, it is a way of showing resepct to both the Goddess and the life of which you are using to aide you. So what is premission asking? It is the practice, of, when you might have the need or wish to pick an herb, or other plant for some use, or even when you wish to pick a flower wheather it be for some magickal purpose or otherwise, instead of just plucking it out of the ground, you should first ask premssion both of the Goddess and of the plant itself to use of it.

 

The way that I do this, is I place my hand or fingers against the stem or leaf of the plant, and I ask, within my mind, sending my thoughts and energy to the plant and the Goddess for presmission to pick of the plant, and state my intentions for wanting to do so, and if in return I recive the feelings of good energy I will proceed and pick the plant, but if I feel any sort of hesitent energy or I am uncertain, then I will leave it alone and not take of it.

 

And then of course afterwords, when I do pick what I need from the plant, after I have been granted premission, I give thanks to the Goddess and the plant to allow me its use.

2/15/2007 - Energy Transfer

This is a new technique I came up with today, and I have dubbed it the energy transfer, because that is what it envolves, the transfering of energy from point to another. The best way to describe just what this technique is and its use is to describe the situtation which first led me to come up with it.

 

I had gone up to the stroe to buy a gallon of milk and while I was there I also picked up a couple of other drinks, I was walking home, and I had two bags, one with the milk and the other with the two other bottles, and it is kind of a long walk, close to a milke I would say, and those plastic bags can get uncomftrable carrying as the handgles dig into your fingers. I was currently holding the bag with the milk in one hand and the bag with the drinks in the other. The milk was considerably heavier, which furthered the discomfort, so I thought I would try to even things out.

 

I visulized a ball of energy which represented the weight of the gallon of milk traveling up my arm and acorss my shoulders to move down my other arm and into the bag with the other two bottles I was carrying there, as I did this I visulized greater weight in the bottles and invisisoned the bag with the bottles being weighed down and pulling more downward against my arm, at the same time I visulized the bag with the gallon of milk becomming lighter, and stharting to lift upwards and this helped to make things feel more leveled out, it gave the impression that the weight between the two bags were more even so it became easier and more comftrable to carry.

1/9/2007 - Self Healing

Now, to get something cleared up in the begining, this is not like some faith healing miarical cure all that will miercaucalous fix everything on an instant, but rather what self-healing is, is a way in which you realize the full poetential of the power of your mind, and the energies in your body, and use them to work together in order to aide, and speed the bodies natural healing process and help to ease pain for a quicker and more comftrable recovery from both illness and injury and everything in between.

 

Now the most improtant part, and perhaps one of the most difficult parts, and where the power of the will realy comes in, is frist of all, though it can be difficult when in any sort of discomfort is you must get your body to relax, though when in pain, it is natural for everything to tense up, so you must force yourself to loosen up and take a few deep breaths, and close your eyes and divert your mind from the feelings, once you are in a more relaxed state visulize a purple energy, which for me is always the energy of healing, flowing through your body, and then concentrate the energy upon the area which is causing the pain or discomfort and visulize the energy ereasing the feelings of pain and discomfort and causing it to flow away out of your body. This method really works great for trying to ease the pain of cramps as well as intesitnal and stomach pains.

 

When trying to heal from something more long term like an illness of physcial injury one of the most imporant things to do is not to let the state of your body and your feeling of discomfort get your mind down, though that is commonly the most easiset thing to do when not feeling well is to let it affect your mental state, it is more beneficial if you put the feelings of discomfort out of your mind and do not let it affect you, though you should still let your body rest and take it easy, that does not mean staying bed ridden and feeling sorry for yourself. Rather you should stay up beat and find little things that are enjoyable to do around the house, things that will not be too strenous and still allow your body some rest, but at the sametime, you should not let an illness cut in too much on your daily activities and take control and dictate what you will and will not do. You will recover faster if your mind is not dragged into the state of being ill.

 

To help quicken the healing of a physical injury, be it a broken bone, or a cut or some other such thing, in addition to not allowing it to affect your mind and bare down upon you and your mental state, you should also visiulize the wound or injury healing and concentrate on the purple energy flowing in the area of the injury and mending it together, and when you do feel pain, remeber to put your body in a more relaxed state and do not let yourself become tensed up. Let the feeling of the pain wash of your and then flow out of your body, instead of fighing or resisting against it which will only increase it or cause it to last for a longer period of time.

11/27/2006 - Altering Your body tempature

Well sort of going along with what I discussed last time, there is a way in which a person can change the tempature of thier pysical body not just the enviroment around them, though doing this is a bit more difficult then just chagning the tempature of the air or water around you. The method is very simaillar with only a couple of key differences.

 

For one thing for altering your body tempature the energy will be internalized, you do not want the energy to be sent out of you but to keep it contained within because you do not want to effect or change the outside enviroment, but you want to alter and change your own physical being.

 

As far as the best place to practice this technique, I would recomend indoors, as outside the elements, wind, sun, rain, etc.. or just other things around you can distract from your attention, and like before I would recomend you practice in a room that is a comftrable room temp, a little cool or a little warm is ok, but no extremes, a/c's and heaters should be off and windows and doors closed. You may take any posistion that is comftrable for you.

 

Now if you want to increase your body tempature, that is make it warmer, you want to keep warm thoughts in your mind, a warm bath, a hot summer day etc.. and you want to do your best not to be distracted by the things around you and the acutal tempature outside if you are currently feeling cool or cold you want to do your best not to acknowledge it or think about it, but to keep your thoughts on warmth, and as you do so feel yourself becoming warm, feel warmth spread over your body. As with changing the tempature of the air around you, you want to envision warm energy but instead of having the energy surrounding you, you want to envision the energy being within you to keep it internlized, and you should start to feel your body becoming warmer.

 

It is much harder to keep your body tempature where you have adjusted it after you have relesed your concentration then it is keeping the tempature of water or air to where you change you it, becasue if you do increse your body tempature in a cool enviroment once you let it go the outside tempature is going to take effect and start cooling your body again.

11/26/2006 - Adjusting Air and Water tempature

Warming or cooling the tempature of water and air around me is a skill and technique of my own that can come useful in a few situations, and is just overall a fun and good way to help develop your energy and control it. The method for it is really quite basic the tricky part is using enough force and exterying the correct energy to make it work.

 

I personally find that warming water or air is easier then cooling it, and I have more experince and practice with warming, it is just something I utilize more, and so that is what I will choose to put most my focus on today.

 

I will start with water, personally I find it easier and better to start with a larger body of water, for example a bath tub in which you could fully submerge yourself and become more connected and at one with the water, and put more of your energy into it, in a more dispersed way, opposed to trying with a cup of water for example, in which you have mininun connection with the water and have to push all your energy through the small focal point of a couple of fingers.

 

So to start I would fill a tub with either warm to luke-warn water, it will be easier then starting from a point of freezing water. And slip into the water lean back get comftrable feel the water flow around your body, place your hands just against the surface of the water so they lay upon the top of the water but are not beneath the water and focus on the water becoming warmer, as you do so envision warm energy around your body and keep warm thoughts in your mind. As you do this you should notice the tempature of the water rising around you.

 

Now the difficult part here is keeping the new tempature you have established, after you release your energy and concentration, at first the water is likely to drop back to its original tempature as soon as you let go of your focus, one way you might help to prevent this from happening and keeping the water at the adjusted tempature, would be to ease out of it, instead of just abruptly stopping and realesing your energy once you have the desired tempature, you should let your energery linger and keep those thoughts of warmth in your mind and slowly and gradually begin to lift your hands from the water and easing off your concentration so that reminents of your energy remain with the water.

 

To do this with air is a bit more difficult then with water, for one thing, it is more difficult to have air containaed in a manageable space as it is with water, and you cannot really adjust the air to the tempature that would be easisest to work with while just starting out, I would not reccoment using any sort of heaing or a/c device for this, the best way to practice this technique is to pick a room or point in the house where you are most comftrable, at a time when it is as they say room tempatature, that is not unsually cold or warm for any reason, and ensure all windows and doors are closed. Another good way to maybe practice is by just sitting in the parked car and trying it, to work with a smaller space.

 

If you are in a more open type space, such a bedroom, or living room etc.. then you want to focus mainly upon the air which is cloeset to your phsyical body, and not worry about the overall tempature of the room to start. Find a place to sit, or stand (When doing it in a room, I prefer standing) perferably somewhere near the center of the room. Spread you hands out and imagine your fingertips just touching the air to establish a connection to it, and like with water imagine the tempature around you groind warming, and warm energy flowing around your body, and keep warm thoughts in mind, and you should feel the air around your becoming warmer.

 

It is a lot more difficult with water to hold the newly altered tempature of the air, becasue unlike water in a bathtub for example air is a lot harder to keep contained and so unlike the water, there will be the constant flow of new air comming in and the old air leaving and so it takes more skill to set your energy so the new air adapts to your desired tempature, and you may have to hold onto your concentration to keep the tempature you want and cannot let it slip away fully as with water, or if you do let go of your concentration you might have to every now and then readjust the tempature once more around you.

11/16/2006 - On Being an Empath

I know it can be very confussing, frustrating and emtionally, even mentally draining at times to be an empath, particuarly if you are just waking up to the ability and do not understand what is going on, and do not yet have the ability to try and control it or direct it better, and even when you do gain more famillairty and understanding with it, it can be difficult at times.

 

First of all some of you might be wondering, just what is an empath anyway? An empath is a person who has the ability to physicaly feel the emotions of those that are around them, they can feel the sadness, pain, anger, or joy and happiness, of people they are with, as if those were thier very own emotions, and particuarly senstive empaths can pick up the feelings of others from a distance, for example if you are on the internet you can feel the emotions of those whom you are speaking to online. You can imagine how frustrating and exhausting this can be at times.

 

Now you might wonder at first, how would you recgonize if you were an empth of not? Well it is hard to say exzactly it is just something one has to come to thier own awarness of, but one thing you might want to look out for to try and determine, is if you find yourself when you are either with other people, or on the internet, experince emotions that do not make sense, or come on suddenly without any cause or reason you can deciper, or if you start to notice if you are with someone who is in a high state of anger, saddnes, etc.. you suddenly start to feel angery or sad even if thier feelings are not directed tword you. Or if you start to know how other people are feeling before they say or do anything which might give it away.

 

The first step to coping with being an empath is understanding just what you are experince, and being able to reason out why you might be having these sudden strange changes in emotion, when you recogonize that you are picking them up from other people around you it will then become easier for you to start to develop a filtering system if you will so you have control over your empathy.

 

Though I cannot give you a step by step on how to filter, being able to do so is part of understainding your own energy, but if you are new to it and just figuring things out, then it can help to use some of the shilding methods I have discussed in orther to try to block out unwanted emotions that might be causing you harm.

10/20/2006 - Invisiblity

Yes, that is right, I said invisibality, one of those super powers that many of wish we could ahcive. Well I have some good news and some bad news for you. For invisiablity can be ahcived to a degree, but it is not quite the same as it is in the movies and comic books. I cannot tell you how you can make your body physicaly vannish from sight to give you the ability to do anything without anyone seeing you, the kind of invisbality I speak of and can instruct you on is a cloaking ablitlty that can come in handy in certain situations.

 

Though it will not make you completely vannish, it is a way in which will allow you to ellude notice and be able to travel more inconspicuously, this is a technique that will come espcially handy if trying to aviod the notice of a particular person. Just keep in mind as I mentioned before, this does not make you vannish completely and does not gaurentee that no matter what you do no one will be able to see you, if you act in a way to draw attention to yourself it will work against the affects of the cloak.

 

The way it works is similar to creating a shiled, of which you can read my secion I wrote about that. Envision a force of energy, for cloaking preferably a white or blue light would work best surrounding your entire body as you envision the enegery comming around your complete form much the same way an acutal cloak would conceal you, as you do this concentrate on being concealed and hidden from sight. Envisison yourself being blocked from view from other people, and being able to walk and move without being seen. Belive yourself to be conceled from sight and feel the energy wrapped around you, make sure that you do not loose your concentration or it can cause the cloak to waver and weaken, and it works best for short periods of time, it can grow thin if you try to keep it up for too long.

 

It can work most effectively in situations where there are more people around, in a crowded location it is easier to decive the eyes of others, but it can work in more sparse locations.

Here is something that might be fun to give a try to.

 

Tekekinetics

 

First leanr how so sense it

secound learn how to feel it

thrid learn how to move it

 

Feel the object lighter and lighter

sense you are lifting it and know you are you.

 

TK Exercise

 

Touch object and slightly move it then do the same thing gentlar, the point being untill you touch the object so gently it dosent move all the while concentrating on movig it. This tricks the mind into thinking you acutally moved it with your phsyical body.

In a couple of my other entries here I have mad mention of the chakra and I said I would further explain chakara and so I thought to do so now.

 

Chakara are energy focal points within the body. There are 7 chakara points. Chakra can be used during meditation, as a way to look within oneself and see byoned what just the eyes can see. Chakra can also be tapped into for both physcial and spirtiaul healing, and there are some Martaial arts which practice the use of chakara in comabat.

 

The 7 Chakra are:

 

  1. Crown: Intelligence; Purple
  2. Brow: Intuition; Indigo
  3. Throat: Health; Turquosie
  4. Heart: Love; Green
  5. Solar Plexus: Inner Strength; Yellow
  6. Sacral: Rejuvination; Orange
  7. Base: Courage; Red

 

This chart will help locate the 7 Chakra upon the body and help to visualize each of the chakra when meditating

In one of my entries I had mentioned the secound sight, and said I would talk more about it in the future, and so I thought now would be a good time to do so.

 

The secound sight, which is also known as the thrid eye, or sometimes the sixth sense, is the eye of the soul. The ability to see things which are hidden from your physical sight, are not a part of the tangeable and physical world, by using instead of your own two eyes, but an inner eye which is more attuned and connected to those things which are beyond the known reality.

 

It is using this secound sight that people can see auras, the spirits of the dead, the veil, as well prophocies and pyschi visisons also come from the use of the secound sight.

 

Inherently everyone has the 3rd eye, but some people are just more naturally sesnstive and attuned to it then others, in the majority of people it is dorment or blind, but it can be awakend if you become more intuned both to yourself and the world around you. Medatating can be a good way to highten the power and ability of your thrid eye.

 

It is often belived that animals are naturally more sensitive to the secound sight then people are and can see things and pick up on things that people cannot. This could be because they are more connected and in harmony with nature and there connection to the Goddess is strong, and the spirits of the earth, while people have moved farther away from that and have surrounded themselves with barriers which keep nature out and they have forgotten where they came from and lost the connection which as weakend thier intution and sixth sense.

 

Childern are also seen to be more attuned to their third eye, becasue thier minds are more open and childern genreally do tend to have a closer connection with nature, it is something that they are learned out of as they grow older.

No matter what a person might beleive it seems that dreams tend to hold a strong importance and connection to everyone, they are mystifying and enchanting in a way, and almost everyone puts some speical signifgance to thier dreams. If you trace back through history it can be seen how dreams in many different cultures thoughtout time have held a strong empahsis to dreams and dreams have been closely linked to the soul and hold a certain spirtuality. In the more mondern times of now, dreams have even become the study of science.

 

To Pagans dreams have always had a deep spiritual importance, and there are many different therories surrounding thier meaning, some belive that when you dream you are entering a whole new world that dreaming itself is a form of astral projection, some think that dreams hold symbolic insights into our hearts, souls and subconcious, while others see dreams as gleamings of the future and things yet to come.

 

Whatever the case might be, dreams are imporant both on the individula level and perhaps on a grander level. There is something we can take away from our dreams I think, and learn from them. They are a tool which should be utilized not ignored or set aside.

 

A good practice is to begin a dream journal where you record your dreams each morning, doing this can accomplish two things, for one if helps you to grow more preficient at remebering and recalling your dreams more frequently and two it allows you the oppertunity to better evauluate your dreams.
