To one who has a restless mind

to a shattered soul

To one whose known depression

a sinking darkened hole

where nothing but oblivion

seems all there is in sight

surrounded by the darkness

hidden from the light

and peoples faces look and turn

not knowing what to do

they walk away without a word

Oh, If they only knew!

Too many are the voices

I hear within my head

sometimes I want to scream out

I wish that I were dead

Then someone with opened arms

whose friendship is so kind

Consoles this man in torment

Of a schizophrenic mind.
