There seems to be a counter to the Palin joke she made that being a mayor is sort of like a community organizer,

except you actually get things done. The Democrats are saying that "Jesus was a community organizer" which has a unique identity behind it.

Who are they going after with that statement? Christians, why? Because they elected Bush when he defeated Kerry. They're a huge voting block.

Obama has failed to win over the "Red Neck" support he would need to pickup counties where Hillary Clinton won in the primaries. They're moving to Palin because she is pro-gun and she gives off this small town mom vibe that gives a lot of small town families a reason to look towards her. Biden is a Washington card carrier, a good man but flawed with being in the Senate for 30 years or so. 

He doesn't give small town people this connection towards identifying with their views and how they feel about family values and etc. He is just considered an old Senator who's been apart of the same old crowd.

McCain did until Palin came along, he was just from the same crowd and is a card carrier too. He isn't really the focus on the ticket which has helped these small town voters go to Palin in the polling.

If Obama and Biden want to win, they need to not only get some Christians, but they need to get white women and small town "Red Necks" if they want to beat McCain in the fall.
