1/1/2000 - Ways to Manage Psoriasis
If you have psoriasis you might be looking for psoriasis natural treatments that are advertised on TV and infomercials. These treatments may or may not work depending on the ingredients. You will find that the topical solutions are the best short term solution for any dry patches, for example apple cider vinegar treatment, natural aloe-vera and Epsom salts, however these only help ease the outward signs and symptoms.
If a cure for psoriasis seems to you to be simply too good to be true you’re not alone. That's pretty much how I felt not long after I found out that I had psoriasis. Nothing I tried seemed to make any difference at all and therefore I became depressed and it just seemed pointless to continue and I resigned myself to a life where my skin was always affected by this disease. The doctors couldn’t tell me why I had gotten it or what might have triggered it in the first place which was infuriating as you can imagine. Perhaps you have had an experience very much like this in your life if you have psoriasis.
When I first went to the doctor I was shocked to find that I had an incurable disease as he called it. He had the audacity to show me photographs from a medical text that showed the very worst forms of psoriasis that was certainly very far advanced from what I had…just a couple of rough patches. I started to cry. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and was so shocked that is until I got smart and did some research on psoriasis on my own. I learned that the doctor was wrong and that it was very wrong of him to show me his worst case scenario photos. I learned that there are many ways that have been effective in managing psoriasis.
The real root cause of psoriasis that the doctor was not knowledgeable enough to tell me and as is the case with so many modern diseases is system wide toxicity of the body. There are too many toxic contaminants moving in the air in our modern post industrial society. Whenever we breathe a breath of air that is filled with contaminants it gets into our system and begins to wreak havoc causing a number of reactions that clash with our natural state of being including asthma and many skin and lung conditions. You can find natural supplements and herbal treatments at your local health food store or online that have been proven to be effective, like taking flax seed oil capsules or St. John's Wort. The problem with these solutions is they involve a lot of guesswork. What works wonderfully for one person might have no effect whatsoever on another with similar symptoms. There is no one cure for everyone.
