    8/26/2008 - backing a legacy

A leader can not lead without a following of those who believe in what he advocates. Jesus was an advocate and a deliverer for what many follow today but never challenge themselves to live. The twelve disciples that followed him were a common people of different backgrounds and most importantly beliefs. They believed more in the man Jesus but not his nature and what his business was. Repeatedly He told them that he wanted to be know as the Son of God, almost signifying that the nature of God is greater, not the man that is being used. His last hour he urged his disciples to pray, which instead they slept. This very much alike to what leaders who with respect Malcolm X and Martin Luther King were. We follow the leader, but not the message. We follow the task, but not the challenge. If the disciples were to pray, how much impact would it have had to the mission Jesus dedicated on the cross of calvary. In these times now in election I think it is important to know that we do not stand by a man, but his word. America has a history, like others not perfect although progressive. Who knew that a when a man came and would set foot on this land of hope, would soon lead to opportunity. Gods misterious nature is revealed in time. Why something begins we never understand until it is revealed or settled. I believe that is the path America has taken with the two candidates in 2008, one being an African American and the other the traditional American legacy. Even with the rise and prominance of a woman in this era of change, it has come to be what should be challenged and bridge gap of unity. So we should pray in honor for God to complete his new legacy in this country of what will be remembered as simply change. Coming together nationally is what it is about and then God will honor this nation. God is almighty and time and definition will change by Gods hand of grace.

    8/14/2008 - revealed by time
A breath of fresh air soothes the mind, body, and soul. If God breathes life into being, I guess it is almost "to be or not to be" in a sense. Everyone has a fever and a burning inside that remains unsettled by what is not understood. To calm an ocean after a storm the tide must rest and the sun must break. Rest is apart of life and is the less understood, but most critical part of life. Books always have a beginning with a cause and an ending with revelation. I believe God could have ended the Bible with a bang or a mystery, but ended with a beginning (Revelation). Life should be more clear if we know what keeps us in peace. Most famous musicians were settled and fulfilled when they were able to play an instrument or sing a song. In effect people were able to connect with the artist, because they could level with them and relate on an realistic approach that was spiritual. Planes, computers, a trip on the moon wasn't money driven or for notarity. It began with a curiousity and ended with what revealed the most darkest, simplest, and complex time into being. If the universe was centered around the world how much effect might the sun have. So the sun has its purpose and our time is centered around it. So we can't live self centered, but redeemed by what is in us and what breathes and gives our life purpose. If it is music, it breathes through one to redeem others in a way that is of purpose. Purpose is peace, Life is fulfulling, and the Redemption is revelation.

8/11/2008 - what is in it for me?
What is in it for me? This is an obvious, but critical statement prompted by our deeds. If anyone were to look at life being dead they would see it the same way we see things when everything is obvious. Everyone wants to be someone even if it cost their life. Being a product of life we buy into conceptions of individual living that controls the way we live through whatever means possible that conflicts our true nature. You could replant a tree into the ground in a place that is convient to you and easy to the eye. Naturally the tree is there and is in production, on the other end the tree is not in its rightful place (environmentalist would agree). The tree roots are disconnected and the only way to find its roots is to find its inhabited place on this earth. So what would happen is the tree has less effect by its disconnection and now has to conform to its new setting. We look at the modern age of information which is the media, that comes in many forms by way of press rather digitally or televised. Yes, people want some sort of resolution in life, something to stand for. Pop culture or "land of la la" is a habitation, because mentally we live out more than physically. Everything we rationalize and what comes into form is out of our mind or own thinking. So when we see this popularity some people want to be part of this. One reason is familiarity and acceptance by what is made the norm of society. Cars, clothes, sex, pleasure, and freedom in the terms of insanity from fantasy. This is what most people want, so what is the cost? The hard media has made it clear in particular young black men and women in urban society. Vacate living standards, living acceptantly and not exceptionally will get you far. This has happened directly after what was beginning to be a progressive movement was stopped. What will reverse the minds of negros back into the society of being insufficeint to accepting irrational living. Also by feeding them crumbs into their society of selection out of those who will deceptively be the spokes people for the masses of black dissatisfied. Our nature is pure and not hostile, intelligent and not ignorant. What will have to happen is blacks being reawaken out of their land of desolation into a land of reemergence. We are black with roots in Africa, this is our identity. So we shouldn't walk around lost trying to identify with something we are not. When this happens, see how your aggressor reacts. Which you probably after all these years didn't know you had.

    7/12/2008 - looking for change
When will the government, the people who are responsible for our society and well being remember that there are no avenues for many Black and lower class Americans. There is no hope to where I believe people who have experienced poverty their whole life and also have a history of no success or signs of change in their lives. I myself have been a victim of this trap of signs of no success but a possible of potential in my own life as well. My setbacks are even more difficult to deal with other than the fact that I am one who has grown up in a poor environment and have experienced more than enough of pain. Yes, I know that I can change things, and believe me I will, but the majority of people in my situation can't see things the same way because they are caught up in a cycle that brings them back to a life of poverty mentally and physically because of their history. This in my opinion can only be fixed by the government and the solution should begin with the government. The same way if you take a mouse and put him in to an experiment in a cage, and it is in the cage majority of its time it is not going to do any thing that is out of its reach, it cant do or even be apart of any thing that is not apart of its environment. With this said, resources are a vital part to living a productive life, why hasn't this been done for the minority in this country especially in a time when our leaders are running for office.
